Colts’ season ends in controversial fashion

There were no last-inning heroics for the San Angelo Colts at Foster Field on Wednesday night, but there was plenty of drama and controversy.

The San Angelo Colts survived to play another day. The Colts rallied in the final three innings Tuesday at Foster Field to defeat the Alexandria Aces 6-5 and send their first-round playoff series to a decisive third game today.

The Alexandria Aces used a 10-run sixth inning to stun the San Angelo Colts and went on to take the first game of their United League Baseball opening round playoff series 12-5 Monday night at Foster Field. The Aces came into the series as a collective group of unhappy campers.
